How to Vote in New Jersey

Good Government Reform

You deserve representatives that are accountable, accessible, and approachable. We must ensure that our town government is one that is functional, efficient, and works for you.

Accountability Starts with Leadership

    1. I commit to a Council on YOUR Corner program – a rotating monthly neighborhood meeting in a different ward in town
    1. Our Council MUST follow and understand Roberts Rules of Order
    1. Ensure all boards and commissions are following proper procedure and documenting meetings
    1. Opt-in text messages for emergency notifications
    1. Emergency notifications in English, Spanish, and Creole options
    1. Public posted municipal deadlines to hold elected officials accountable
    1. More efficient council meetings!
    1. In Trenton, anyone can show up to a public hearing. They have “in Favor/Opposed – No need to testify slips”, which individuals can fill out to ensure their opinion is received, yet does not require the individual to speak unless they choose to do so. This would ensure residents have their opinions hurt, retain their right to speak, but not force residents to speak on an issue if they choose not to.
    1. I do not, nor will I, take contributions from vendors with a municipal contract in town
  1. We may not always agree, but I will meet with anyone seeking to improve West Orange.
